I won't go into how great netflix is (It's great!) but it does make you realize how movies you've watched. Every time I go on the site to hunt for more movies to watch I rate movies I've seen to get suggestions on movies I might like. Today, netflix decided to let me know how many movies I've rate, 689!!! And I'm sure that's not even all of the movies I've ever seen. Blows my mind. That's almost 1400 hours of movies or 58 days=8 weeks= 2 months straight (without sleeping) of movies. Crazy. I would do it again tho, although I would skip everything under two stars!
So only a few days after becoming Mr. and Mrs. Stondell we flew away to Tahiti (and then Bora Bora and then Moorea!) Flight wasn't too bad. First two days went snorkeling in the Reefs and Flora even Scuba Dove! Rained a lot but every day was at least partially sunny too. Unfortunately, on the third day Flora started to get sick and by the next morning she was having high temps and lots of symptoms. I'm pretty sure she caught the flu on the plane ride there. Spent most of the rest of the vacation taking care of her, then getting sick myself. Still had fun though, at least we had a great view out of our balcony! Pics from our healthy days below. View from the plane window:
We were totally swimming with sharks! Tried to touch that one
I like how you can see the island in our sunglasses!
Rode ATVs right up to the top of a mountain. Quite a view.
Dogs needed a good place to stay when neither of us are home. This involved 1) sawing through a solid metal door and installing a doggie door into the garage 2)Gating off a portion of the garage so they can't run out when the garage door is opened.

Notice the automatic puppy feeders!
While I was out there thought I would find a better place for the bikes!
In ALL THAT SPARE TIME that I have I've tried to do a couple fun things with the new house. Project #1: Paint it Black!
What do you guys think? I'm VERY happy with how it turned out, it emphasizes this great staircase instead of having it blend into the wall like it did before.
It seems these days that part of the standard wedding preparation includes teeth whitening. Well let me tell you right now that it is TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT. What a waste of money. And time. And Pain. Went to the dentist, spent $299 (each) to have them lather my teeth in hydrogen peroxide and shine high intensity UV light into my mouth. End result, mildly whiter teeth. Now, one week and five cups of coffee later, NO CHANGE. None. So for those of you thinking of taking the plunge I recommend staying away from this one.
